There has been a 70% increase of PMD related fires in 2019. While the public was warned not to charge their PMD/PABs near combustible materials or along escape paths, there is no guarantee that all users will adhere to this. A man and his infant girl were admitted to the hospital following a fire caused by a PMD at Bukit Batok West last October. These fires not only put our valuable homes and possessions but our family and loved ones. How do we protect our loved ones and home?

With the rise in popularity of Power Assisted Bicycles (PABs) and Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs), fire outbreaks due to these devices have also been on the rise. This is partly because while people are quick to purchase these devices, they do not follow the user guidelines strictly, such as not charging them immediately after use, and not leaving charging devices unattended for an extended period of time.

Fire extinguishers can be a small but important part of the home fire safety plan. They can save lives and property by putting out a small fire or suppressing it until the fire department arrives. The XFLAME MSJ-500 is a simple and affordable way to protect our loved ones. Our leading aerosol extinguisher, is not only environmentally friendly, but user friendly. It is designed to easily to carry and deployed by both children and seniors. Most of us would consider fires to be rare occurrences in Singapore, however , are YOU willing to take that chance?
